Bingli 3.0.23 Release
Rollout date: Jun 18, 2025
We are thrilled to announce the release of Bingli version 3.0.23! This update brings a host of exciting new features, improvements, and bug fixes designed to enhance your experience and streamline workflows. Let's dive into what's new!
New Features
Dashboard
-
Tab visibility based on user roles: Certain tabs and actions are now enabled based on user roles configured in the backoffice. For example:
- "Nurse" users can view the Investigations tab with requested investigations and results.
- "Practitioner" users have additional capabilities, such as adding, updating, and deleting investigations.
Stay tuned for further enhancements to the Decision Support System in future releases!
-
Updated Terminology for Clarity: We’ve introduced more consistent naming across the app to better align with medical workflows. Note that translations will be updated progressively. Key changes include:
- Assessment: The set of questions asked to the patient (previously referred to as “survey,” “questionnaire,” or “interview”).
- Encounter: Describes the full single patient interaction, including assessments, notes, guidelines, and recommendations. Some encounters may not include an assessment.
- Assessment type: On the dashboard, this corresponds to the care episode.
- Care episode: Refers to a period of healthcare services provided for a specific medical condition, from initial encounter to treatment completion or discharge.
Chart
- Completing an assessment on behalf of a third party: This feature can now be configured via the backoffice Flow Manager. Users can indicate whether they are filling in the assessment for themselves or someone else, specify the relationship, and the questions will adapt accordingly (using “he” or “she”). New questions will be translated via DeepL.
Improvements and Bug Fixes
STCC
- SBAR Notes: A standardized method for communicating critical information to improve patient safety. Components include:
- Situation: Current problem (e.g., "Mr. Smith in Room 12 is experiencing shortness of breath").
- Background: Relevant context (e.g., "Mr. Smith is a 65-year-old male with pneumonia and COPD history").
- Assessment: Professional evaluation (e.g., "Oxygen saturation is 88%; patient appears distressed").
- Recommendation: Clear next steps (e.g., "Increase oxygen to 6L, order a stat chest X-ray").
- When a diagnosis is confirmed, SOAP and SBAR notes will now include only the confirmed diagnosis instead of all potential diagnoses.
- Investigation results are now added to the SOAP notes Observation field and SBAR notes Background field.
Dashboard
-
UI Improvements for Creating Patient Encounters: Functions are now separated under two buttons:
-
Create Assessment: Opens a popup to select the assessment type and create a new encounter. Optionally, start filling answers immediately or open the encounter tab for manual input.
-
Invite: Opens a popup to select the assessment type and communication method (e.g., email or text) to send an invite to the patient.
-
-
Workflow Card Updates: Additional and follow-up assessments are now managed via the Workflow card on the patient page:
- Additional assessments: Sent by nurses for extra information (e.g., image requests).
- Follow-up assessments: Include scheduled assessments planned after an encounter.
General
- Patient Creation/Update: Required fields are now name, surname, age, gender, and language (defaults to tenant language if unspecified). Address, phone, and email are optional unless needed for invites.
- Security: Enhanced protection against SMS bombing by ensuring password reset links are single-use.
- Bug Fixes:
- Restored custom tenant logos in summary PDFs.
- Fixed error messages for users logging in without a tenant connection.
- Resolved an issue requiring page reloads to hide the differential diagnosis disclaimer.
- Improved chat flow for practitioners editing answers (only relevant questions are replayed).
BackOffice
- Flow Manager Fixes: Custom consent now displays correctly after saving the Consent block.
- Informed Consent: Enabled custom content for the refusal modal.
We can't wait for you to explore these updates! As always, your feedback is invaluable in shaping future releases. Happy collaborating with Bingli!
